Can Waste Woven Bags Be Made into RDF?

Shan 2023-03-02

Recently, a customer asked us whether waste woven bags can be turned into RDF? The answer is yes, because woven bags are a kind of plastic, and plastic is a very suitable high-calorie fuel. If used properly, it could partially replace fossil fuels such as coal or oil in cement production. So how to make RDF from waste woven bags? Let's find out together.

Process of making RDF from waste woven bags

Waste woven bags are very common, and it should be encouraged and developed to make them into RDF as an alternative fuel in cement manufacturing, which is beneficial to the economic development of related fields. However, waste woven bags are of different sizes, entangled to a certain extent, and foreign matter doping, etc. The following processes are generally followed for making woven bags into high-burning value RDF.

  • Pre-shredding: Use a high-torque twin-shaft shearing shredder to break up the entangled waste woven bags and shred them into small pieces for subsequent processing.
  • Screening: use iron remover, sorting machine, etc. to separate metal, sand and other non-combustible materials contained in waste woven bags.
  • Fine crushing: pre-crushed and screened materials enter the fine shredder for secondary crushing
  • Drying (optional): The finely crushed materials enter the dryer to control the moisture content below 10%.
  • Compression forming: RDF pellet mill compresses the crushed material to make it have higher combustion performance and facilitate transportation.

Waste to RDF

Making RDF is a good way to recycle waste woven bags, which is conducive to generating income for the garbage recycling system and providing low-cost and high-efficiency fuel for the cement industry. GEP has mature RDF production technology and equipment, which can help you easily turn waste woven bags, leather, fabrics, and waste paper into alternative fuels and realize waste resource treatment.
